The Man of Steel

November 1, 2011

Welcome back to Superhero Week at The Helm House!  Today we are going to talk about the man of steel, Superman!  Superman has a lot of meaning at in our house, all due to my fabulous husband!  As the story goes, when my hubby’s mom was pregnant with him, she asked his older brother what they should name the new baby and his response was, “Superman!”

My darling husband was named after Superman, aka Christopher Reeves.  So now you know the story!

Today’s post is all about celebrating the hubsters!  A few months back, he started taking at home courses to earn a certificate in gunsmithing.  He worked extremely hard and finished all the courses in only a few short months.  A couple of weeks ago, he received his certificate in the mail.  I am so proud of him, so of course I made him pose for a picture!

While he was taking courses at home, he knew that he was going to need some hands-on experience so he started a part-time job working at the local gunshop here in Cottonwood.  He works a couple nights a week and quite a few Saturday’s, during which he has been learning lots!  Once again, I’m so proud of you Superman – never stop dreaming!

Be back with more tomorrow, hoping I can complete the project tonight!  Oooph… lots of pressure!
