Pumpkins

November 15, 2011

Well sorry it’s been so long, but now you all understand why I’ve been so tired and not feeling the best lately!  Chris and I are very excited to welcome a little baby into our home next Spring!  As soon as the post went up, my inbox flooded with emails!  So here are just a few FAQs answered:

  1. Will you find out if it’s a boy or girl?  No, we will wait to be surprised when the little one arrives.
  2. Why do you call it the “Monster Baby”?  You will learn more about that later on down the road.
  3. Are you sick at all?  Quite often in fact…
  4. Have you started on the nursery?  Shopping – yes, setting up – no.  We have a few other projects to wrap up first.
  5. Have you thought about names?  Haha, after trying for nearly a year, yes – we have names, not sure if/when we’ll share.

Anywho, back to blogging.  I need to try and get back in the swing of things, and hope my energy picks up here over the next couple of weeks.  So let’s jump back before Halloween to a project that Mom and I did one evening.

We had seen these adorable ceramic pumpkins at a local giftshop, but they were being sold for $13.95 a piece (keep in mind they are about the size of a clenched fist).  So we figured we could DIY them pretty easily!  (Sorry most pictures taken with my phone…)

We ran drove over to the Dollar Tree and picked up three ceramic pumpkins for each of us, six total.

After a coat of spray paint, here is what we had…

And just a little craft paint later, they were finished!  Here are my three at home nestled up with the buck!

Not bad for a buck a piece!  Happy Tuesday, hope to be back soon!

Love the b/w pumpkins – great job Kelli & Keri 🙂

I vote NO for sharing your baby names and I’ve told the same to other expectant mothers. Jayme would have been named Kelcie if it wasn’t for an unsolicited negative opinion I received when her name was shared. Totally ruined it for both Jeff & I and we came up with another name…somehow seems right though because she is so much more a Jayme than a Kelcie 🙂

Haha, we love our names and they are both derived from family names. Pretty sure nothing would change our mind, but I do like a good surprise 🙂
