You Are So Loved

August 8, 2012

July was a very busy month for us here at The Helm House!  But I want to start with how it ended 🙂

On the 28th, Ms. Emma Jo got baptized.  While getting her dressed and ready for her big day, Uncle Jared thought it would be best for her to where some stylin’ shades!

Then it was time to head to the church.  We had a private baptism with just immediate family, and Emma did great.  There was no crying, cause her and Mommy had been practicing being baptized during bath time – she simply closed her eyes and held her breath.

We felt very blessed to be welcomed to such a wonderful new church and Emma was given some wonderful gifts by the church, including the wooden keepsake box and quilt you see in this picture.

Emma with her two beautiful Godmothers – she is one lucky little lady!

When we got home, we took some quick family pictures before the rest of our guests arrived to help us celebrate.  Here are the Helms.

And of course, the Johnsons + one! 🙂

And Ms. Emma all dressed up in her finest.  This is actually the dress that I wore for my baptism (in addition to both Jared and Tiana).  The headband however is new and was a gift.  Her necklace was a gift from her Daddy and I, and the ring is a gift her God-Mama Tiana.

And I had to order a cake for the big day too!  A big thank you to my highschool lunch lady, Pat, for making my favorite mock angel food – I’m certain this will be Emma’s favorite too someday!

She of course needed a picture with her cake after an outfit change.

And this is another gift she received from her Daddy and I.  I wanted something to go on the gallery wall in her room to remind us of this special day.  I have been eyeing up some beautiful Katie Daisy prints, and finally found the perfect one for her.

Emma Jo – Mommy and Daddy love you so much!  We couldn’t imagine our lives without you.  Congratulations on your special day, you are so loved!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make Emma’s day even more special!  We love you all!

Join us back here on Friday to see more of Emma’s gallery wall!  We are going to do our best to post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – cause I’m tired of taking grief for my lack of posts 🙂  See you soon!
